Cone Mills

Cone Mills are used for the size reduction of medium or coarse materials that tend to be soft, sticky, fatty or fragile materials which are used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Cone mills tend to consist of a cone in which a impeller bar and screen are located. Material is fed into the cone through an in-feed chute via gravity or vacuum. The material passes to a rotating impeller which forces the material through the holes in the screen until the material has been milled. Manufacturers of cone mills include KEK Gardner, Kempten, Hosokawa Bepex, Hanningfield, Ytron and many more.
